Our Story
Huntersrest Antiques is born from a deep appreciation for sentiment and nostalgia.
Owners, Deon and Kitsa De Kock, drew from their incredible love of old things and, in turn, created an antique and vintage dream collection at 180 Long Road, Newlands.
Huntersrest was established in 1997, with a modest collection of antiques being sold out of the garage in Deon and Kitsa’s home in Melville. Two years later in 1999, Huntersrest was moved to Long Road, still half the size of the current establishment. Finally in 2008, Huntersrest Antiques was expanded to the building as it stands today.
Our store has an incredible collection of antiques and vintage decor that are a feast for your eyes. A true labour of love from somewhat humble beginnings. We pride ourselves on our exquisite displays, and keeping our store immaculate for each and every customer. We have friendly staff on hand to assist with your every need.
We are all about the finishing touches! Make your way up the Victorian staircase on Saturdays for a slice of cake and cappuccino on the house!
